Access To Electricity

Nearly 1.6 billion people still have no access to electricity, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA)“.  95% of RURAL Ugandan communities lack access to clean, affordable and environmentally friendly energy which is affecting their social and economic welfare.  (AFIEGO,2014)

Why We Care

Candles are expensive and dangerous in homes
Access to clean water
Health and property destroyed from use of Kerosene lamps.
Access to modern farming methods like irrigation.
Children forced to collect fire wood
